Tree of Strings: Solo Portrait
About
About the Event
Tree of Strings is a brand-new music festival for Dorset. Join us for a packed weekend of world-class music performed by artists from around the globe. The programme spans genres, continents and centuries - from classical chamber music to jazz, folk and contemporary collaborations. Khanh Nhi won Third Prize at the Leeds Piano Competition in 2024 and has had a great year establishing herself as one of the finest young talents emerging onto the classical music scene. Nhi is Vietnamese, and now based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Her recent Wigmore Hall recital was a huge success and has led to many engagements around the world. We are very excited to present her in Abbotsbury for this attractive recital, including two famous pieces of the classical repertoire and a jaw-droppingly virtuosic sonata by French composer Henri Dutilleux that wowed audiences in Leeds and London. Programme: Johannes Brahms - Intermezzi Opus 118 Nos 1 and 2; Ludwig van Beethoven - Sonata Op 110; Henri Dutilleux - Sonata
