Summer Nights at Corfe Castle with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra Experience three unforgettable summer evenings of music, magic and light at Corfe Castle, one of Dorset's most iconic landmarks. From 24–26 July 2026, the dramatic castle ruins provide a stunning outdoor backdrop for the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (BSO), presenting spectacular live performances for all ages. Friday 24 July – West End to Hollywood Step into a night of enchantment under the stars with a glamorous journey through the greatest stage and film music. A 14-piece BSO ensemble, conducted by Patrick Bailey, brings iconic melodies from James Bond, Harry Potter, Phantom of the Opera, The Sound of Music, Pirates of the Caribbean, Toy Story and more to life, accompanied by a magical light show as the sun sets over the castle. Saturday 25 July – Smash Hits 80s Party like it's 1985! Celebrate the decade of big hair and classic pop with a symphonic performance of hits from George Michael, Madonna, Blondie, David Bowie, Elton John, a-ha and many more. Featuring singers, a five-piece band and ten BSO string players, this high-energy concert is perfect for fans of 80s nostalgia. Sunday 26 July – Curious Creatures & Adventurous Animals A family-friendly musical adventure exploring the wonders of the natural world.
