Good to know
Free entry
No ticket needed — just turn up. Bring a bag, ours are all paper.
Dogs welcome
Dogs are welcome on a lead, and there is always a water bowl going.
No single-use plastic
Every stall here packs in paper, glass or compostable material. No exceptions.
Meet the makers
Bramble Kitchen
Preserves & pantry
I preserve whatever the orchards give me using surplus from farms within twenty miles.
Copper Works
Jewellery
I cast small sculptural rings shaped around the wearer rather than a trend.
Downs Dairy
Cheese & charcuterie
We make raw-milk cheese from our own herd grass-fed, organic, and everything the animals eat is grown here.
Ember Cart
Streetfood
We make Neapolitan-style pizza from a converted trailer on a single gas ring, which keeps the menu honest. Our meat is British free-range organic and we are happy to be asked about it.
Flint Canteen
Streetfood
We cook Georgian khachapuri fresh on the griddle with cheese from a dairy eleven miles from the market.
Fold Store
Homewares
I sew cushions from vintage fabric using curtains and blankets from house clearances.
Glaze Larder
Ceramics
I throw functional stoneware on the wheel glazed in soft oatmeal, sage and off-white.
Green Farm
Cheese & charcuterie
We make raw-milk cheese from our own herd grass-fed, organic, and everything the animals eat is grown here. Tasting is compulsory, buying is not.
Jar Pantry
Preserves & pantry
I make marmalade from Seville oranges once a year in copper pans, twelve jars at a time.
Little Pot
Streetfood
We do one thing — a proper toasted sandwich with everything prepped from scratch the morning before.
Meadow Bird
Plants & florals
I make dried flower arrangements from flowers grown and dried here, so they last for years.
Pearl Metalsmith
Jewellery
I solder fine chains and stacking rings cast in my kitchen from recycled offcuts. Every piece is made to order and sized on the day where I can.
Reclaim Bureau
Vintage & upcycled
I upcycle old linens into new things from a barn in Bucks I have been slowly emptying since 2019.
Rush Homewares
Homewares
I sew cushions from vintage fabric using curtains and blankets from house clearances. Made to be handed down rather than replaced.
Seed Bench
Plants & florals
I grow houseplants from cuttings in peat-free compost, in terracotta rather than plastic.
Shard Glass
Glass
I make lampwork beads and small sculpture fired three times, which is why they take a fortnight. Nothing goes out in bubble wrap — it is paper and wool only.
Solder Jewellery
Jewellery
I hand-forge everyday pieces in brass and silver with a hammered finish that catches the light.
Sourdough Bakes
Bakery & cakes
I bake naturally leavened sourdough overnight with organic stoneground flour from a mill in Berkshire.
Spoon Yard
Woodwork
I carve spoons and boards from green wood from London plane and cherry felled by the council anyway.
Spring Brew
Drinks
We press apple juice from Chiltern orchards from windfall fruit that the farm cannot sell. Bring a cup and it is 50p off. We stopped selling bottled water in 2018.
Stitch Row
Textiles & accessories
I sew bags from salvaged sailcloth and canvas from offcuts that would otherwise be landfill.
The Bobbin Bird
Textiles & accessories
I weave scarves on a floor loom in British wool from a mill in Yorkshire.
The Ember Harbour
Ceramics
I hand-build slab vessels finished with ash glazes I mix myself. Everything is fired twice in a shared kiln in Brentford.
The Ore Moon
Jewellery
I solder fine chains and stacking rings cast in my kitchen from recycled offcuts.
The Press Works
Drinks
We make botanical cordials from foraged flowers picked within a few miles of where we sell it.
The Rind Farm
Cheese & charcuterie
We age farmhouse cheddar on the farm in a cave under the barn, which sounds grander than it is. We bring the whole wheel and cut to order.
The Stitch Bird
Textiles & accessories
I sew bags from salvaged sailcloth and canvas from offcuts that would otherwise be landfill.
The Type Fern
Print & illustration
I make screen prints in two or three colours of the river, the deer park and the birds on them.
Weft Cloth
Textiles & accessories
I dye and stitch quilted accessories using deadstock cotton bought by the roll.
Wheel Table
Ceramics
I throw functional stoneware on the wheel glazed in soft oatmeal, sage and off-white. Mugs, jugs and serving bowls made to be used daily.
