I make beeswax candles from our own hives with wax from twelve hives in the Chilterns.
Bench Company
Woodwork
I carve spoons and boards from green wood from London plane and cherry felled by the council anyway. Re-oiling is free, bring it back any time.

Preserves & pantry
I preserve whatever the orchards give me using surplus from farms within twenty miles.

I turn bowls on a pole lathe with hand tools, so you can hear me working at the market.
Copper Pantry

I make marmalade from Seville oranges once a year in copper pans, twelve jars at a time. Labels are printed on recycled stock and hand-written.

I solder fine chains and stacking rings cast in my kitchen from recycled offcuts.

I make sketchbooks from mill offcuts rescued from a paper mill that was going to pulp them. Named on the spine while you wait if you want.

I upcycle old linens into new things from a barn in Bucks I have been slowly emptying since 2019.

I blend balms and oils from herbs I grow cured for six weeks before it reaches the stall. Everything is naked or wrapped in paper — no plastic anywhere.

I hand-build slab vessels finished with ash glazes I mix myself. Seconds go on the table at the end and always sell first.

I roll and dip pure beeswax tapers scented only with essential oils. No palm wax, no plastic wrap, no cellophane.

Fifteen minutes on a wheel each, centring a ball of stoneware and pulling one small pot. We fire and glaze the survivors and you collect them at a market a month later.

Christmas wreath making

Build a full door wreath on a moss base with foraged eucalyptus, spruce, dried orange and seed heads. You'll learn how to bind a base that won't sag by New Year and go home with something that took an hour and looks like it took three.
