Meet the makers

  • Copper & Co

    Preserves & pantry

I make small-batch chutneys and jams from fruit gleaned around Bucks that would otherwise go to waste. Jars are returnable — bring one back and get 50p off.

  • Copper Spoon

    Streetfood

We cook Georgian khachapuri fresh on the griddle with cheese from a dairy eleven miles from the market.

  • Glasshouse Flowers

    Plants & florals

I grow British cut flowers on half an acre no imported stems, no floral foam, nothing flown in. Seasonal only, which means no roses in February.

  • Green Botanicals

    Plants & florals

I propagate herbs and salad plants all grown outdoors within eight miles of the market. Seasonal only, which means no roses in February.

  • Little Streetfood

    Streetfood

We make Neapolitan-style pizza from a converted trailer on a single gas ring, which keeps the menu honest.

  • Proof Bakehouse

    Bakery & cakes

I make Persian pastries and cardamom buns and nothing leaves the oven more than fourteen hours before market. Whole cakes to order if you message me by the Thursday.

  • Tallow Room

    Candles & home fragrance

I make beeswax candles from our own hives with wax from twelve hives in the Chilterns.

  • Thames Ceramics

    Ceramics

I throw functional stoneware on the wheel glazed in soft oatmeal, sage and off-white.

  • The Ember Van

    Streetfood

We cook Sri Lankan hoppers to order using British free-range meat and vegetables from our own allotment.

  • The Flour Bakehouse

    Bakery & cakes

I bake gluten-free cakes that people cannot tell are gluten-free using free-range eggs and British butter only.

Workshops

Visible mending — darning a hole

with Glasshouse Flowers · Adults and over-12s · 60 min

Bring the jumper with the hole in the elbow. You'll learn a woven darn and a Swiss darn, in a contrast colour so the repair is the point rather than the apology.

  • Sun 25 Oct, 11:00 · Workshop table· 5 places left
