Meet the makers

  • Fire Grill

    Streetfood

We cook Sri Lankan hoppers to order using British free-range meat and vegetables from our own allotment. We stopped using anything plastic in 2019 and have not looked back.

  • Flint Canteen

    Streetfood

We cook Georgian khachapuri fresh on the griddle with cheese from a dairy eleven miles from the market. Vegan by default, with dairy as the option rather than the other way round.

  • Flour Kitchen

    Bakery & cakes

I make Persian pastries and cardamom buns and nothing leaves the oven more than fourteen hours before market.

    website@flourkitchen

  • Fold Home

    Homewares

I sew cushions from vintage fabric using curtains and blankets from house clearances.

    website@foldhome

  • Jar Row

    Preserves & pantry

I preserve whatever the orchards give me using surplus from farms within twenty miles.

  • Kiln Brew

    Drinks

We brew kombucha in fifty-litre batches with nothing but tea, sugar, time and fruit. Every drink on the stall is on the Ethical Consumer green list.

    website@kilnbrew

  • Knot Shed

    Woodwork

I make small furniture from storm-fallen timber finished with linseed oil and beeswax only. Shavings go to the allotment, so nothing is thrown away.

    website@knotshed

  • Little Pot

    Streetfood

We do one thing — a proper toasted sandwich with everything prepped from scratch the morning before. Our meat is British free-range organic and we are happy to be asked about it.

  • Rush Homewares

    Homewares

I sew cushions from vintage fabric using curtains and blankets from house clearances.

  • Sourdough Table

    Bakery & cakes

I make Polish babka and cinnamon buns in small batches, in my own kitchen, licensed and inspected.

    website@sourdoughtable

  • Spoon Yard

    Woodwork

I carve spoons and boards from green wood from London plane and cherry felled by the council anyway. No varnish, no lacquer, nothing you would not eat off.

    website@spoonyard

  • The Ore Moon

    Jewellery

I solder fine chains and stacking rings cast in my kitchen from recycled offcuts.

    website@theoremoon

  • The Selvedge Rail

    Clothing

I upcycle wool coats and jackets with the original labels kept in as a record. I keep a mending basket at every market — bring me your holes.

    website@theselvedgerail

  • Windfall Larder

    Preserves & pantry

I ferment hot sauces and kimchi with no pectin, no preservatives and nothing you cannot pronounce. Metal lids and glass, nothing plastic anywhere in the packaging.
