Meet the makers

  • Big Fire

    Street food

I run a Polish street food kitchen — pierogi and bigos from my mum’s recipes, adapted for a queue. I can serve 120 an hour if the queue’s moving.

  • Braeside Candle Co

    Candles & home fragrance

I make wax melts and reed diffusers cut and polished in the workshop. Everything’s vegan and cruelty-free.

  • Braeside Honey

    Honey & bees

I make mead and sell honey from my own hives taken up to the heather in August. Bring your jar back and I’ll refill it.

    website@braesidehoney

  • Bramble Bath Co

    Soap & skincare

I make shampoo bars and solid conditioner scented with essential oils only. Plastic-free packaging throughout.

  • Bramble Jams

    Preserves & chutneys

I forage and preserve — bramble, elderflower, rowan, rosehip with no pectin and no artificial anything. Tasting spoons on the stall — try before you buy.

  • Braw Treats

    Pet treats & accessories

I make air-dried single-ingredient treats from venison, salmon and beef liver.

  • Croft Bakehouse

    Bakery & cakes

I bake sourdough and slow-fermented bread to my gran’s recipes, with a bit less sugar. Gluten-free options on the middle table — clearly labelled and made separately.

  • Muirhead Croft

    Fruit & veg

I grow chillies, garlic and unusual brassicas picked the evening before the market. What’s on the stall is what’s ready — the list changes weekly.

  • Rowan Growers

    Plants & flowers

I grow hardy perennials and herbs suited to actual west-of-Scotland weather.

  • Skerry Atelier

    Jewellery

I hand-forge everyday pieces in silver and brass with a hammered finish that catches the light. Commissions are about a third of what I do.

    website@skerryatelier

  • Sweetie Fudge

    Sweets & fudge

I make handmade honeycomb and salted caramels tempered properly, which is why it snaps. Free samples — nobody walks past tablet.

  • Wee Emporium

    Vintage & upcycled

I restore and sell mid-century glassware sized properly, because vintage sizing lies.

    website@weeemporium

  • Whin Store

    Preserves & chutneys

I make Seville marmalade and seasonal jellies using whatever the season gives me. Jars are refillable; bring one back and get 50p off.
