Meet the makers
Bothy & Wick
Candles & home fragrance
I pour soy candles in reusable glassware scented with essential oils, never synthetics. Sniff before you buy — the stall is set up for it.
Bothy Cider
Craft beer & cider
I brew a dark mild and a Scottish 80/- in a ten-barrel plant outside Alloa. Mixed cases are the easiest way to try the range.
Braeside Candle Co
Candles & home fragrance
I make wax melts and reed diffusers cut and polished in the workshop.
Clyde Barista Co
Hot drinks
I do hot chocolate with proper Scottish cream and mulled apple through the winter markets. I can run all day on one gas bottle.
Glen Crumb
Bakery & cakes
I make traybakes and celebration cakes fresh the morning of the market, never the night before. Everything sells out by lunchtime, which I take as a good sign.
Loch Fyne & Creel
Fish & seafood
I hot- and cold-smoke salmon and haddock over oak in a smokehouse I built myself.
Ochil Farm
Butcher & game
I sell wild venison and game in season shot within twenty miles and processed the same week. I’ll tell you exactly how to cook it if you ask.
Rolling Truck
Street food
I cook Sri Lankan street food to order from my mum’s recipes, adapted for a queue.
Rowan Larder
Bakery & cakes
I bake Scottish oven scones, empire biscuits and tablet-topped brownies in small batches from a converted garage kitchen.
Wee Coffee Co
Hot drinks
I run a mobile espresso bar from a converted Piaggio with a two-group machine.
