Meet the makers

  • Bramble Hives

    Honey & bees

I keep bees across Renfrewshire and sell the honey never heated, never filtered beyond the coarse strain. Heather honey sells out within three markets.

  • Corrie Knits

    Knitwear & textiles

I knit hats, scarves and mitts using Harris tweed offcuts that would be binned.

  • Kiln Workshop

    Ceramics

I hand-build slab vessels with a matte speckle and a raw clay foot. Mugs, jugs and bowls made to be used every day.

  • Rowan Larder

    Bakery & cakes

I bake Scottish oven scones, empire biscuits and tablet-topped brownies in small batches from a converted garage kitchen. I take pre-orders through Facebook and hand them over at the stall.

  • Wee Coffee Co

    Hot drinks

I run a mobile espresso bar from a converted Piaggio with a two-group machine.

  • Whin Bakehouse

    Bakery & cakes

I make traybakes and celebration cakes fresh the morning of the market, never the night before. Everything sells out by lunchtime, which I take as a good sign.
