Traders
Every stall is an independent Scottish business. No franchises, no wholesale-only, no direct selling.
Getting here
Parking is signposted from the main road. Trader vehicles are moved off site before we open.
Meet the makers
Argyll Smokehouse
Fish & seafood
I sell shellfish landed on the west coast landed at Tarbert the day before the market.
Bonnie Dog Deli
Pet treats & accessories
I make dog birthday cakes and pupcakes with no grain, no filler and no nonsense.
Bothy Beer Co
Craft beer & cider
I make a low-alcohol range and a hazy IPA with Scottish-grown barley wherever I can get it.
Bothy at the Market
Candles & home fragrance
I make candles in salvaged whisky bottles with cotton wicks and a proper cure time. Sniff before you buy — the stall is set up for it.
Bruntsfield Store
Preserves & chutneys
I forage and preserve — bramble, elderflower, rowan, rosehip from fruit grown in the Clyde Valley. Tasting spoons on the stall — try before you buy.
Clydeside at the Market
Cheese & dairy
I sell farmhouse cheese from small Scottish creameries churned twice a week and sold within days.
Fern Plants
Plants & flowers
I grow houseplants and propagate my own cuttings on a nursery outside Kirkintilloch. I’ll tell you honestly if a plant will die in your flat.
Grain Workshop
Woodwork
I turn bowls and boards from Scottish hardwood finished with food-safe oil and nothing else.
Heather & Comb
Honey & bees
I sell raw honey, comb and beeswax wraps from about forty hives, moved with the season. Candles and wraps from the wax, so nothing’s wasted.
Hedgerow Pantry
Preserves & chutneys
I make small-batch jams, jellies and marmalades using whatever the season gives me. Tasting spoons on the stall — try before you buy.
Kelpie Bakehouse
Bakery & cakes
I bake sourdough and slow-fermented bread in small batches from a converted garage kitchen. Everything sells out by lunchtime, which I take as a good sign.
Orchard & Jar
Preserves & chutneys
I make Seville marmalade and seasonal jellies with no pectin and no artificial anything. Christmas gift boxes from October.
Press Illustration
Art & prints
I cut and print lino by hand in two or three colours, printed in my kitchen.
Rolling Truck
Street food
I cook Sri Lankan street food to order from my mum’s recipes, adapted for a queue. Full gas safety and PAT paperwork — I bring it to every event.
Rowan Larder
Bakery & cakes
I bake Scottish oven scones, empire biscuits and tablet-topped brownies in small batches from a converted garage kitchen. I take pre-orders through Facebook and hand them over at the stall.
Skerry Atelier
Jewellery
I hand-forge everyday pieces in silver and brass with a hammered finish that catches the light.
Skerry Distillers
Gin & whisky
I make a spiced rum and a coffee liqueur in batches of about 200 bottles at a time. I hold my own occasional licence for every event I trade at.
Sweetie Fudge
Sweets & fudge
I make handmade honeycomb and salted caramels tempered properly, which is why it snaps.
