Meet the makers

  • Braeside Honey

    Honey & bees

I make mead and sell honey from my own hives taken up to the heather in August.

    website@braesidehoney

  • Carse at the Market

    Fruit & veg

I grow no-dig veg on two acres on a market garden in the Clyde Valley.

    website@carsecroft

  • Corrie Dairy

    Cheese & dairy

I make raw-milk cheese on my family’s farm from a herd of forty Ayrshires just outside Kilmarnock.

    website@corriedairy

  • Heather Larder

    Bakery & cakes

I bake Scottish oven scones, empire biscuits and tablet-topped brownies fresh the morning of the market, never the night before. The empire biscuits go first, every single time.

    website@heatherlarder

  • Hot Van

    Street food

I run a wood-fired pizza van using Scotch beef and a griddle that never gets cold.

    website@hotvan

  • Kelpie Loaf

    Bakery & cakes

I make laminated pastries — croissants, cruffins, morning buns in small batches from a converted garage kitchen. Gluten-free options on the middle table — clearly labelled and made separately.

    website@kelpieloaf

  • Kelpie Press

    Art & prints

I paint Scottish coastline in watercolour from sketches done on the hill, not from photos. Prints come unframed with a backing board and a plastic-free sleeve.

    website@kelpiepress

  • Machair Plants

    Plants & flowers

I grow British cut flowers suited to actual west-of-Scotland weather.

    website@machairplants

  • Muirhead & Game

    Butcher & game

I make square sausage, black pudding and haggis to a family recipe that predates the shop. Chilled display and a generator on outdoor pitches.

    website@muirheadgame

  • Ochil Farm

    Butcher & game

I sell wild venison and game in season shot within twenty miles and processed the same week.

    website@ochilfarm

  • Press Illustration

    Art & prints

I cut and print lino by hand in two or three colours, printed in my kitchen.

    website@pressillustration

  • Retro Salvage

    Vintage & upcycled

I restore and sell mid-century glassware cleaned, repaired and honestly described.

    website@retrosalvage

  • Rowan Growers

    Plants & flowers

I grow hardy perennials and herbs suited to actual west-of-Scotland weather. Everything’s grown, not bought in.

    website@rowangrowers

  • Silver & Metal

    Jewellery

I set Scottish beach glass and agate with a hammered finish that catches the light. Free resizing for life on every ring I make.

    website@silvermetal

  • Skerry Atelier

    Jewellery

I hand-forge everyday pieces in silver and brass with a hammered finish that catches the light.

    website@skerryatelier

  • Skerry Prints

    Art & prints

I cut and print lino by hand in editions of fifty, signed and numbered. Commissions of your own bit of coast are the popular one.

    website@skerryprints

  • Whin Candles

    Candles & home fragrance

I pour soy candles in reusable glassware scented with essential oils, never synthetics. Everything’s vegan and cruelty-free.

    website@whincandles

  • Whin Made

    Jewellery

I hand-forge everyday pieces in silver and brass in a workshop above the kitchen. Everything comes in a recycled gift box.

    website@whinmade

  • Whin Spirits

    Gin & whisky

I make a rhubarb and a navy-strength gin picked on the Ayrshire coast in early summer. I hold my own occasional licence for every event I trade at.
