Meet the makers

  • Ash Studio

    Ceramics

I hand-build slab vessels with a matte speckle and a raw clay foot.

    website@ashstudio

  • Bothy Beer Co

    Craft beer & cider

I make a low-alcohol range and a hazy IPA with Scottish-grown barley wherever I can get it. Mixed cases are the easiest way to try the range.

    website@bothybeerco

  • Bothy Brewing

    Craft beer & cider

I brew hoppy pale ales and a stout unfiltered and unpasteurised, so keep it cold.

    website@bothybrewing

  • Bracken Studio

    Knitwear & textiles

I weave scarves and throws on a floor loom in undyed fleece from a flock I know by name. Custom colours if you can wait three weeks.

    website@brackenstudio

  • Braeside Apiary Co

    Honey & bees

I make mead and sell honey from my own hives never heated, never filtered beyond the coarse strain. Candles and wraps from the wax, so nothing’s wasted.

    website@braesideapiaryco

  • Braeside Honey

    Honey & bees

I make mead and sell honey from my own hives taken up to the heather in August. Bring your jar back and I’ll refill it.

    website@braesidehoney

  • Bramble Jams

    Preserves & chutneys

I forage and preserve — bramble, elderflower, rowan, rosehip with no pectin and no artificial anything.

    website@bramblejams

  • Clyde Barista Co

    Hot drinks

I do hot chocolate with proper Scottish cream and mulled apple through the winter markets. I can run all day on one gas bottle.

    website@clydebaristaco

  • Corrie Candles

    Candles & home fragrance

I make candles in salvaged whisky bottles scented with essential oils, never synthetics. Sniff before you buy — the stall is set up for it.

    website@corriecandles

  • Glen & Field

    Fruit & veg

I grow salad, herbs and heritage tomatoes on a market garden in the Clyde Valley.

    website@glenfield

  • Hot Kitchen Co

    Street food

I serve fresh pasta cooked on the pitch from a converted horsebox with a proper oven in it.

    website@hotkitchenco

  • Hot Van

    Street food

I run a wood-fired pizza van using Scotch beef and a griddle that never gets cold.

    website@hotvan

  • Kelpie Loaf

    Bakery & cakes

I make laminated pastries — croissants, cruffins, morning buns in small batches from a converted garage kitchen.

    website@kelpieloaf

  • Kelpie Press

    Art & prints

I paint Scottish coastline in watercolour from sketches done on the hill, not from photos.

    website@kelpiepress

  • Loch Fyne & Creel

    Fish & seafood

I hot- and cold-smoke salmon and haddock over oak in a smokehouse I built myself. I sell out by 1pm most weeks.

    website@lochfynecreel

  • Muirhead Croft

    Fruit & veg

I grow chillies, garlic and unusual brassicas picked the evening before the market. What’s on the stall is what’s ready — the list changes weekly.

    website@muirheadcroft

  • Rowan Distillers

    Gin & whisky

I make a spiced rum and a coffee liqueur in batches of about 200 bottles at a time.

    website@rowandistillers

  • Rowan Knits

    Knitwear & textiles

I weave scarves and throws on a floor loom in Scottish lambswool from a mill in the Borders. The bobble hats keep the whole stall afloat.

    website@rowanknits

  • Rowan Store

    Preserves & chutneys

I forage and preserve — bramble, elderflower, rowan, rosehip from fruit grown in the Clyde Valley. I label every jar with the batch and the week it was made.

    website@rowanstore

  • Sea & Salve

    Soap & skincare

I make cold-process soap using no palm oil and no plastic. I list the full ingredients on every wrapper.

    website@seasalve

  • Steam Coffee Co

    Hot drinks

I roast my own beans and serve them from a trailer roasted in Renfrew the week of the market. I can run all day on one gas bottle.

    website@steamcoffeeco

  • Strath Growers

    Fruit & veg

I grow salad, herbs and heritage tomatoes on a market garden in the Clyde Valley. I compost every scrap that doesn’t sell.

    website@strathgrowers

  • Sugar & Tablet

    Sweets & fudge

I make Scottish tablet and fudge stirred by hand in a copper pan. Gift boxes and wedding favours to order.

    website@sugartablet

  • Sweetie Confectionery

    Sweets & fudge

I make Scottish tablet and fudge stirred by hand in a copper pan. Everything’s made within 48 hours of the market.

    website@sweetieconfectionery

  • Wee Emporium

    Vintage & upcycled

I restore and sell mid-century glassware sized properly, because vintage sizing lies. I take trade-ins at the stall.

    website@weeemporium

  • Whin Pottery

    Ceramics

I throw porcelain and carve it by hand glazed in oatmeal, sea green and off-white. Mugs, jugs and bowls made to be used every day.

    website@whinpottery

  • Whin Store

    Preserves & chutneys

I make Seville marmalade and seasonal jellies using whatever the season gives me.
