Meet the makers
Bothy Bakehouse
Bakery & cakes
I bake Scottish oven scones, empire biscuits and tablet-topped brownies in small batches from a converted garage kitchen.
Braeside Candle Co
Candles & home fragrance
I make wax melts and reed diffusers cut and polished in the workshop.
Braeside Studio
Ceramics
I hand-build slab vessels glazed in oatmeal, sea green and off-white. No two come out quite the same.
Bramble Jams
Preserves & chutneys
I forage and preserve — bramble, elderflower, rowan, rosehip with no pectin and no artificial anything.
Corrie & Fern
Plants & flowers
I grow houseplants and propagate my own cuttings suited to actual west-of-Scotland weather.
Glen Crumb
Bakery & cakes
I make traybakes and celebration cakes fresh the morning of the market, never the night before.
Heather Larder
Bakery & cakes
I bake Scottish oven scones, empire biscuits and tablet-topped brownies fresh the morning of the market, never the night before. The empire biscuits go first, every single time.
Ink Prints
Art & prints
I draw the hills in ink and gouache and print them on heavy cotton paper.
Kelpie Loaf
Bakery & cakes
I make laminated pastries — croissants, cruffins, morning buns in small batches from a converted garage kitchen. Gluten-free options on the middle table — clearly labelled and made separately.
Kelpie Scotland
Hot drinks
I do hot chocolate with proper Scottish cream and mulled apple through the winter markets. I bring my own generator so I’m not fighting for a socket.
Smokin’ Kitchen
Street food
I run a wood-fired pizza van using Scotch beef and a griddle that never gets cold. Full gas safety and PAT paperwork — I bring it to every event.
Steam Coffee Co
Hot drinks
I roast my own beans and serve them from a trailer roasted in Renfrew the week of the market.
Whin Est. 2019
Preserves & chutneys
I make Seville marmalade and seasonal jellies from fruit grown in the Clyde Valley. Jars are refillable; bring one back and get 50p off.
