Meet the makers

  • Ash Studio

    Ceramics

I hand-build slab vessels with a matte speckle and a raw clay foot. Everything’s dishwasher safe, whatever the myth says.

    website@ashstudio

  • Auld Est. 2019

    Street food

I run a wood-fired pizza van from a converted horsebox with a proper oven in it.

    website@auldkitchen

  • Auld Feast

    Street food

I run a Polish street food kitchen — pierogi and bigos using Scotch beef and a griddle that never gets cold. Vegan option always on, not as an afterthought.

    website@auldfeast

  • Auld Sweetie Shop

    Sweets & fudge

I make Scottish tablet and fudge tempered properly, which is why it snaps.

    website@auldsweetieshop

  • Big Fire

    Street food

I run a Polish street food kitchen — pierogi and bigos from my mum’s recipes, adapted for a queue.

    website@bigfire

  • Bothy Coffee

    Hot drinks

I serve speciality coffee and hot chocolate from a converted Piaggio with a two-group machine. First fifty cups are always the best — get in early.

    website@bothycoffee

  • Bramble Bath Co

    Soap & skincare

I make shampoo bars and solid conditioner scented with essential oils only.

    website@bramblebathco

  • Bramble Jams

    Preserves & chutneys

I forage and preserve — bramble, elderflower, rowan, rosehip with no pectin and no artificial anything. Tasting spoons on the stall — try before you buy.

    website@bramblejams

  • Bruntsfield Store

    Preserves & chutneys

I forage and preserve — bramble, elderflower, rowan, rosehip from fruit grown in the Clyde Valley.

    website@bruntsfieldstore

  • Corrie & Fern

    Plants & flowers

I grow houseplants and propagate my own cuttings suited to actual west-of-Scotland weather.

    website@corriefern

  • Corrie Weaving

    Knitwear & textiles

I sew tweed bags and travel accessories in Scottish lambswool from a mill in the Borders. Everything’s made to be worn in actual Scottish weather.

    website@corrieweaving

  • Fern Plants

    Plants & flowers

I grow houseplants and propagate my own cuttings on a nursery outside Kirkintilloch.

    website@fernplants

  • Heather & Comb

    Honey & bees

I sell raw honey, comb and beeswax wraps from about forty hives, moved with the season.

    website@heathercomb

  • Heather Larder

    Bakery & cakes

I bake Scottish oven scones, empire biscuits and tablet-topped brownies fresh the morning of the market, never the night before. The empire biscuits go first, every single time.

    website@heatherlarder

  • Hot Kitchen Co

    Street food

I serve fresh pasta cooked on the pitch from a converted horsebox with a proper oven in it.

    website@hotkitchenco

  • Kelpie Press

    Art & prints

I paint Scottish coastline in watercolour from sketches done on the hill, not from photos.

    website@kelpiepress

  • Muirhead Croft

    Fruit & veg

I grow chillies, garlic and unusual brassicas picked the evening before the market. What’s on the stall is what’s ready — the list changes weekly.

    website@muirheadcroft

  • Second Vintage

    Vintage & upcycled

I rework vintage denim and knitwear sourced from Scottish house clearances.

    website@secondvintage

  • Skerry & Metal

    Jewellery

I make recycled silver jewellery by hand in a workshop above the kitchen.

    website@skerrymetal

  • Thistle Gin

    Gin & whisky

I bottle single-cask whisky from independent casks in batches of about 200 bottles at a time. Tasting samples where the licence allows it.

    website@thistlegin

  • Whin Bath Co

    Soap & skincare

I make balms and salves from foraged plants cured for six weeks before it ever reaches a stall. Plastic-free packaging throughout.
