Anvil & Ivy
Jewellery
Everything I make starts as flat sheet or round wire and gets hammered into shape on a small stake anvil I inherited.
Endgrain & Co
Woodwork
My speciality is end-grain butcher's blocks, where the wood is cut into cubes and glued standing up so the knife goes between the fibres rather than across them. It keeps an edge sharp for far longer and the board heals itself. A single block is around two hundred pieces, glued in two stages, flattened, then oiled seven times over a week. They are heavy, which people always comment on. I also make smaller trivets and coasters from the same process at a friendlier price.
Kiln Formed
Glass
I fuse and slump glass in a kiln rather than blowing it, so my work is flat: dishes, coasters, small wall panels and jewellery. I stack sheet glass with layers of powder and stringer between them, fire it to 800 degrees to fuse, then fire again over a mould to give it a shape. Each firing cycle takes eighteen hours including the cooling, so nothing is quick. Colours are deliberately restrained, mostly steel blue, olive and a warm smoky grey that suits British light.

I grow koji on barley in an incubator I built from a broken wine fridge, then use it to make miso, shio koji and a fermented chilli paste.

I grew up in Norway and my work still carries that light: pale bodies, snow-blue glazes, forms stripped of anything extra.

I sell British-grown cut flowers only, which means no roses in February and a lot of explaining why.
Pigeon Post Prints
Print & illustration
I draw the birds nobody paints. Pigeons on bollards, gulls raiding a chicken shop bin, parakeets in a plane tree. It starts as ink and brush on paper, then I screen print the drawings by hand in three or four colours on heavy stock. I pull every print myself in a shared studio, so an edition takes a whole weekend. Alongside the prints I sell postcards and a risograph zine of drawings I made on the overground, which is where most of this began.

I roll-print my silver using dried grasses, feathers and lace collected on walks, running them through the mill under enough pressure to leave a permanent impression.
Stained & Salvaged
Glass
I work in copper foil, the finer technique where each glass piece is wrapped in adhesive copper tape and soldered, so the lines can be much thinner than lead allows.
