Pricing

Priced by how much you run.

From £9.99 a month, or £99 a year, excluding VAT. Every paid plan has the whole toolkit in it. What you pay for is capacity (active events, confirmed stalls, team members) and nothing else.

We never upgrade you automatically. Reach a limit and we tell you what it is. Moving up is your decision, not ours.

Plans

Pick the size, not the features

Every paid plan carries the whole toolkit. What changes between them is how much you can run at once: how many active events, how many confirmed stalls in each, and how many people on your team.

Annual billing is 2 months free. All prices exclude VAT.

The small print, up front

Two things are genuinely tiered

We would rather name them here than let you discover them later. Everything else in the product is on every paid plan.

Pro and above

Event series

A weekly market or a season of dates run as one series: traders apply once, you offer specific dates, and deposits, balances and reminders follow each date. On Starter you run events one at a time instead.

Max only

Pay by Bank

Traders settle an invoice straight from their banking app, with no card details typed. Every other paid plan collects stall payments by card, which works perfectly well. Pay by Bank is simply cheaper to process at scale.

On every plan

0% of your stall money, Stripe’s processing at cost

Popup Pal takes 0% of your stall money and adds no per-stall fee. Stripe bills its own processing to your account, exactly as it does for any business using Stripe.

No per-stall fee and no revenue share, whatever your traders pay you. Ticketing is the other way round: 4.5% + 59p + VAT per paid ticket, with card processing already inside it.

Applications are never capped. Take as many as you like on any plan; only confirmed stall places count. That is deliberate: the whole point of an application form is to hear from more traders than you can take.

Ticket sales

Tickets are pay-as-you-sell

Selling tickets is optional and priced on its own, so the subscription never depends on it. Paid tickets are 4.5% + 59p + VAT each, with card processing included, and free tickets are free. The rate is identical on every plan, and you do not need a subscription at all to sell tickets.

Ticket money lands in your own Stripe account as sales happen. It is never pooled with ours.

Ticket fee calculator

Tickets only: 4.5% + 59p + VAT per paid ticket, with card processing included. The rate is the same on every plan, and stall payments are not charged this way at all. Figures below include VAT.

Free tickets carry no fee at all. Payments settle directly to your own Stripe account and Popup Pal’s fee is deducted automatically, so there is nothing to reconcile. We invoice you monthly for the VAT on our fee, so if you are VAT registered you can reclaim it.

The hall that grows

Outgrow the hall. Keep everything.

Every plan is the same platform in a bigger hall. Scroll to fill yours with confirmed stalls. The pitches you can count are the places the plan covers.

Outgrow the hall, not the product. Plans change capacity, never capability.

Pricing questions

Do different plans unlock different features?

Almost never. Every paid plan carries the complete toolkit: application forms, offers, waitlists, invoices, deposits and balances, automatic reminders, floor plans, hosted event pages, documents, broadcasts, workshops, check-in and reports. Plans change capacity, not capability. There are exactly two genuine exceptions: event series need Pro or above, and Pay by Bank is a Max entitlement.

What counts as an active event?

An active event is an event, not a date. Run as many dates inside it as you like. Archive it once it has happened and payments have settled, and it stops counting. Your history stays readable either way.

Is there a limit on how many applications I can take?

Applications are never capped. Take as many as you like on any plan; only confirmed stall places count. You can open a form to the whole town on Starter and read every application that comes in; the plan only bites when you confirm more stall places than it covers.

What happens if I reach a limit?

We never upgrade you automatically. Reach a limit and we tell you what it is. Moving up is your decision, not ours. We show you which limit you have reached and what the next plan covers, and you choose. Nothing already published stops working while you decide.

Do stallholders pay a Popup Pal fee?

No. Popup Pal takes 0% of your stall money and adds no per-stall fee. Stripe bills its own processing to your account, exactly as it does for any business using Stripe. So the processing cost is a normal cost of taking a payment, billed to you at what it actually costs, rather than a margin we take on top.

Do the prices include VAT?

No. All prices exclude VAT, which is added at 20%. Paying annually gives you 2 months free.

What happens if I cancel?

Your account becomes read-only. Nothing is deleted and your history stays there to read, export and report on, but applications, offers, payment links and automatic reminders pause until you start a plan again.

Do I need a subscription to sell tickets?

No. Ticketing works with no subscription at all and is charged pay-as-you-sell: 4.5% + 59p + VAT per paid ticket, with card processing included. You can pass the fee to the buyer or take it out of your own margin, and free tickets carry no fee. The rate is the same on every plan.

Is VAT charged on the ticket fee?

Yes, 20% UK VAT. The advertised 4.5% + 59p + VAT works out at 5.4% + 70.8p per paid ticket in cash terms. Popup Pal is a trading name of CODEHARDY LTD, a UK company, so UK VAT applies to every organiser — giving us a VAT number does not remove it, unlike with an overseas platform. What it does do is let you reclaim: we invoice you monthly for the VAT on fees already deducted, so if you are VAT registered that invoice is your input tax. Free tickets carry no fee and therefore no VAT.

Can you move our data across from another system?

Usually, yes. A migration is normally a one-time setup charge based on the state of the data. It is not a reason to be pushed onto a bigger plan than your events need. Tell us what you are coming from and we will quote it.

When do I actually need Enterprise?

When the requirement is contractual or structural rather than a matter of size: white labelling, several brands under one roof, custom domains, dedicated onboarding, bespoke integrations, agreed support terms. If you simply run a lot of large events, the top self-serve plan already covers unlimited events, stalls and team members.

Not sure which one your year needs? Bring your next show to a call and we will size it with you, including whether Starter is genuinely enough.
